Lance Cpl Frank Freshney • Poole

Frank was born in Lincoln in 1888. Before the war he was working as a chemist's assistant, which also seems to have been his father's trade.

He enlisted in Grimsby, joining 10th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment under service number 25849.

He fought on the Western Front, where he was wounded and brought back to the UK. He sadly died of his wounds on 8th July 1917 at the Cornelia Hospital, Poole. He was 29 years old. 

He was buried on the 11th July in Poole Cemetery
