Dovecote • Athelhampton


Early 16th century. Situated in the harden of Athelhampton House. It contains 600 holes, which could accommodate up to 1200 pigeons and their squibs. 

It is Grade II* listed. The roof timbers and lantern were replaced in the 20th century. It is still home to a flock of white doves.
